Airplane

This week on BabyCenter.com they suggested playing "airplane" with Hudson, so today we tried it. (Thank goodness for camera's with timers-I could capture us playing and share it with you!) I think he enjoyed it for the most part, but he kept licking my knee. Strange boy!

And a smile of the day...

Octoberfest @ Boardman Park

Yet another craft show...this morning we met Aunt Deb, Kelly, Stephanie and the kids at Boardman Park for their annual craft show.
Taking a break for some lunch.
I don't think that Hudson was too happy to be out when he could still be at home sleeping.
Gary made fast friends with one of the clowns and got this special Elmo hat to match his outfit.
Alexandra- would you like some pretzel with all of that cheese? :)
I had anticipated getting festive items with our names painted on them since we now have Hudson; however, did not find anything! This is the first year that the craft show was on both Saturday and Sunday instead of Sunday only so we think that stands may have been picked over since yesterday. Although I did not find anything relating to holidays, I did buy a couple of things...

At least I was able to get something personalized...this tub will be great for one of our little parties!

I love, love, love this picture! This same vendor was at the Whitehouse craft show that we attended a couple of weeks ago; however, we were unsure if we wanted to spend that much for it...well here it is!

Since we were going out in public, I took it as an opportunity to dress Hudson up as a little man.
He's such a little stud!

A good night's sleep

I put Hudson to bed last night around 9pm, in which he slept until he got fussy around 10:30pm. At that time I gave him another bottle; however, he only ate a couple of ounces before he fell asleep again. After that I did not hear from him until 5:59AM! I actually woke up around 2am (when he would normally be hungry) and listened closely to the monitor just to hear him breathe. Hopefully this is the beginning of a boy who likes to sleep all night long!

Morning stretches...you'd think the boy hasn't ever had a good nights rest the way he stretches out...so dramatic!

This is the pattern on his pj's...they're my favorite so far!

Nothing new and exciting...

However, I do have some handsome photos from yesterday to share!

Now you can see why his nickname is "Chubbs Deluxe"!
Just relaxing after bathtime!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Liam, Happy Birthday to you!

Since we were unable to make it to Liam's 4th Birthday Party this past Sunday, Hudson and I made a special delivery today! PRESENTS!!! Liam is a special, unique, chatty little boy and I can't wait to see what he evolves into over the next years!

Sneak peek of Lexi & her friend's Halloween costume! Yes, this bus has 2 drivers!

Diaper Time!

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I was desperately trying to get this boy to smile? Well, it seems as if those days are over. For the past few nights Hudson has been smiling and almost screeching when I change his diaper. Of course most times this happens at 2 in the morning then at 5 in the morning... none the less it makes me happy rather than upset to be awake at all hours. Since I am changing his diaper with very little lighting during these smile sessions, it has taken me days to finally capture some pictures in the act. I even told Brian that I am going to have him video tape a diaper change sometime soon.

Apples and Pumpkins and Crafts OH MY!

Today we enjoyed some great family fun! Lots of us met at White House Fruit Farm for their annual autumn craft show. Other activities included a petting zoo, a corn maze, and a horse drawn hay ride! Of course, being the early birds that they are, Aunt Debbie and Kelly were there first (before the store even opened!). However it did not take long before Grace and Noni showed up and not too far behind were Gary, Stephanie, and the kids...
Since Hudson is so good at making goat sounds, we found it appropriate for him to be photo'd with them!
Looks like Little Gary is in charge of Aunt Deb and Kelly!

Happy Birthday Stephanie!
Gary & Alexandra would much rather eat their popcorn than smile for the camera!
I have no good pictures of Hudson from today...if he wasn't peeing his pants (literally) he was sleeping!
I'm not sure what it is with these kids but Grace makes an awesome horse sound.
Our nice family picnic (shopping cart and all!)

Grace is so darn cute!

Now this is a girl who knows how to pose for a camera!
Grace is such an amazingly sweet little girl. We love any opportunity to spend time with her and Hudson is so very lucky to have such a great big cousin!

Boy genius in the making?

Since I have no idea what a 2 month old wants to do and since I only have a couple of weeks left before I must return to work, I feel obligated to fill Hudson's every waking moment with some sort of stimulation! Today we looked at a book filled with pictures showing what should be baby's first 100 words. I'm sure he did not understand anything that I was saying, none the less I'm sure he found the bright colors amusing. Who knows what we'll try tomorrow:)

Time Management

I've never been very good at managing my time. Those who know me best know that when I say 11:00 it actually means 11:30! Now, having a baby only makes me that much later! I swear I have the best intentions; however, I must get better at allowing for "things" to come up. Today I started getting ready at 9:30am to go to the Southern Park Mall and I didn't make it home until 8:00pm! Of course I had to feed Hudson before I left for the mall, then I decided to take a detour to visit Noni at work, then once I finally arrived at the mall I had to stop to feed Hudson again...you see where I'm going with this! Another perfect example of poor time management is our "weekend" project of tiling the bathroom tub surround. It is still not finished! Poor Hudson must take what Noni calls "bird baths" in the plastic baby tub which I hate...Hudson totally slides around and it is very difficult to wash his bottom! My friend Lori (mother of 2) is the one who suggested giving baths in the regular tub on a bath sponge. This is how I prefer to bathe Hudson and I'm so glad that she shared that information with me...with that being said, anyone please feel free to share "mommy recommendations" with me if you feel you have a better way of doing something because I'm new at this!

Are you ready for some football?

Apparently Mr.Hudson was not...

Since tonight was the big Steelers vs. Browns game, I was anxious to dress Hudson is his Steelers garb so that he would be ready to cheer on our team; however, he had other plans. Minutes before the game Hudson fell asleep. I guess Brian will have wait to teach him during a day game. Papa:Good thing your power was out so that you didn't have to watch your team LOSE :)

Our night out

Last night Brian and I attended my friend Kelly's wedding reception. Pictured is my group of friends from high school. It was so nice to see all of them as most live away from home now (N Carolina, Chicago, Columbus...). Noni came to our house to watch Hudson. I don't know what she did BUT he had the best sleep of his life. He went to bed shortly after we got home at 11pm and did not wake until 6am!
No post is complete without a picture of our little man :)

Oh, what a day!

Oh, what a day...
As if the pouring rain wasn't enough to ruin a day, Hudson also had his 2 month check up today where he received 4 shots! Poor little guy received 2 in each leg and was not a happy camper; however, on a positive note, he is growing so well. He now weighs 9 lbs 13 ozs and has grown 4 inches! To the doctor, this is "very impressive". I'm so glad that he is progressing so well and it is so amazing how much he changes on a daily basis.
Hudson and Uncle Mark- together at last
Mark came over this evening along with Aunt Deb and Kelly for pizza. Since he comes home so infrequently it was nice to spend a couple of hours chit chatting. Hopefully Brian, Hudson and I can visit him in Boston next summer...I think that would be a great trip for the family!

Hudson meets Lucia!

Lucia came to visit Hudson this evening. She brought cute Ralph Lauren outfits and cheesecake! So thanks again, Lucia! Hudson turned 2 months old today and he seems like a totally different baby from yesterday...he slept about 20+ hours yesterday and has slept only 8 hours for all of today. Hopefully we can expect him to sleep really well tonight! Hudson has also been extremely fussy this evening (which I believe to be caused by over tiredness) but good thing Lucia has lots of experience with her nieces and nephews because she was able to soothe him. She has now left and he is fussing again, so hopefully a bath and lullaby will do (if not I may be calling Lucia back over)!
So peaceful, right before Lucia left...

Thanks for the outfits...we love them!
