It's so funny how hair can totally change someones look. After Hudson's bath, Brian dried it with the towel and this is what we got! It doesn't even look like my baby. He looks like a bully and like a little boy!Thursday, April 30, 2009
Who's this boy?

The more the merrier
Noni has probably taken a long bubble bath and gone to bed early this evening since she got to enjoy both Grace and Hudson today! It definitely helps that she has the best grandchildren EVER. They never fuss or cry or misbehave. Are you buying all of that? :)
Grace and Hudson are very fortunate to have a Noni that loves them as much as theirs does and I'm so glad that she is willing to take them both at the same time because Hudson truly loves Miss Grace and slowly but surely she's coming around to him too now that he's starting to play more...that is until he pulls her hair!

Just aSwingin'
Daddy hooked up Hudson's new swing this afternoon. He greatly, GREATLY enjoyed it; however, since we do not have any tree limbs low enough to hold it Brian attached it to the porch awning. This looked like trouble to ol' Mommy so after a couple of chuckles I had enough until we can come up with something more safe, or until we get a helmet :)Saturday, April 25, 2009

My Buddy and Me
Jill and Chad came to visit this evening. After a couple minutes of just staring at them, Hudson quickly turned to smiles, especially once he realized that Chad would be his personal jungle gym. He really enjoyed their company and "hammed" it up quite a bit! They'll be playing catch together before we know it :)Wednesday, April 22, 2009
9 month check-up
Hudson had his 9 month check-up this afternoon. Daddy left work early to go with us. Luckily Hudson only needed one shot this time, and like always, he took it like a "man" :) No crying or fussing at all! He weighed in at 19 pounds 6 ounces and was 27 1/2 inches long. Growing SO Big! We've discovered today that all we need to get him for his birthday is a roll of doctor's paper and he'll be the happiest boy around...

Bubbles
Since yesterday was so beautiful out, we wanted to take full advantage of enjoying the outdoors. After car shopping we went for a family stroll. I pushed Hudson in an umbrella stroller (which is a much rougher ride than his usual stroller) and he laughed every time we went over a bump in the sidewalk. This was pretty entertaining to us as well! When we got home we were still not ready to let the day go, so we sat in the yard and Daddy blew bubbles that Hudson received from Noni for Easter. I thought that Hudson would love them, but I think he was too tired from the busy day we had as he just sat there with a very delayed reaction to the fun.
Uh, he found his binky. I think we've lost him...time for a bath & bed!

New Wheels!
Since G'Pa keeps car shopping, we thought we, too, would jump on the bandwagon. Since my lease is up next month we went the more practical route and traded in our Equinox for...a MINIVAN! Yes, minivan (haha). I must brag at how much of a perfect angel Hudson was at the dealership because we were there for almost 3 hours and he did not make a peep other than smiles and babbles. We were so surprised especially since it was cutting into his lunch time!

Sleepy time
Clearly these are pictures that Noni took on Monday because our boy is surely not tired this evening! It's after 9 o'clock, and Hudson is always sleeping by 8; however, tonight he has other plans. We tried to leave him in his crib for over an hour but we could hear his arms and legs constantly kicking away. Daddy went to get him out to "play" for a little longer and he is sooo happy. Full of laughs and smiles!! Gotta go PLAY!

Easter Evening
Around 4pm we went to Dave and Colleen's for Easter dinner with the family. You can tell from the photo above that Hudson was a little out of sorts- OK, a lot out of sorts. The little guy had a very busy day and hardly napped. He finally fell asleep during the car ride to their house and woke to a house full of people. Unfortunately, Hudson is very routine oriented which is a good and bad thing. Great for us most of the time because he is very happy and content; however, when there is a change in his typical day you never know what you are going to get. He did start to loosen up the longer we were there, but he just couldn't get used to the sound of their dogs' barks (which is very strange considering we have a barking dog that he finds very funny). Who knows what goes on in his little head! Below you will see him "warming up" to G'Pa.Happy Easter!

Hudson received his first Easter basket (actually second- Aunt Deb & Kelly made him a basket that he received yesterday- a great big "Thank You". No, he's not spoiled :)) this morning and he did really well at emptying it out all by himself. Although he found the basket handle and the grass most interesting, he will get a lot of use out of the other goodies.
The beautiful basket liner is one of my most recent Etsy purchases. I love it! I am totally addicted to this website and everyone can expect that most of their gifts will most likely be coming from this site from now on :)
To all of you wondering, YES, I even got one made for Bryce for next year so that they coordinate!
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Lately...
Hudson seems as if he is growing bigger everyday! He is always laughing and seems to really crack himself up, too. For example, this evening he kept "dropping" his container of Cheerios on the floor near Sammie, which equals much Hudson laughter. He is starting to express a little bit of an attitude when he wants something "his" way and he is turning into such a wiggle worm. We definitely see crawling in his near future, although he looks like he is getting ready to hop on a surfboard now! He doesn't quite get the idea of lifting his belly off of the floor. He got his first tooth a week or so ago and if you look really hard below, you just may see it! We think the second bottom tooth is not far away since he is always chewing on something, including his own fingers if nothing else is convenient!

Sooo funny!
Brian was lying on the floor while Hudson jumped in his jumperoo. As Brian tried to toss the hanging frog and duck up to Hudson with his foot, he accidentally kicked the jumperoo sending Hudson into fits of belly laughter! We were so surprised at his reaction. We thought maybe he would have been shocked or even hurt, but not this...
