The boys just chillaxin' while Daddy brings out the baskets that the Easter Bunny brought!
Each holiday gets more and more exciting to see the expression on the boys' faces! This Easter they really enjoyed the toys and candy (although they only received a bag of Reese's pieces and two Reese bunnies). Next year I'll have to plan in a little better to coordinate a little egg hunt for them!
About a month ago I found the best egg coloring kit for the boys! The box promised a way for the kids to do it themselves while being mess free. Somehow the water stays in the containers while you wiggle and jiggle it around. I must say it actually worked pretty good. The boys had fun being about to shake the eggs around but Bryce must have been thirsty because he had the constant urge to drink the dye...luckily like the kit promises, the water stays inside the container. After coloring eggs the boys were treated to a chocolate bunny and Hudson said "that was so funny" so it was a successful day! Shortly after we were finished I heard a crunching sound coming from the kitchen...yep, Hudson got a nice blue egg from the table and took a big bit- shell and all! I ran it to show him how to peel it first and he laughed and excitedly said "there's a baby in there". I think he was hoping a bird was going to fly out!
Hudson has stepped up his game from constantly asking you to wash his hands to constantly wiping his mouth on his sleeve. After each and every bite! On this particular night he was eating yogurt. He just got a bath and asked for a snack, demanded which spoon he was to eat his snack with, and wanted to eat it on the couch! To avoid a total mess on clean jammies I gave him a wipe so that he could wipe his mouth rather than use his sleeve. He stuck with it...cleaning his face with each bite...silly boy!
I was in the kitchen when I heard Daddy say "did Mommy say you're allowed up there?". I immediately knew somebody had to be somewhere that they weren't supposed to be. I laugh because I guess I'm the disciplinarian around here...everyone will fear mommy, haha! When I came to see what the boys were up to, Daddy was already taking their picture (*great job, Daddy!!). I laugh even more because instead of feeling BUSTED they both look happy as could be...guess neither Mommy nor Daddy are feared around here! Hudson just said "I'm up here...look I'm up here, guys!".
One day it's Hot then the next it's Cold. One week we're Healthy then the next we're Sick! We will all be so happy when Spring is here to stay!
