36 Week Check Up

Actually this Wednesday will be the official 36 week marker; however, today was my appointment. We are moving right along! I'm about 1-2 cm dialated, cervix is thinning, and baby is head down! The doctor couldn't say whether or not that means he'll be coming soon, but I'd like to think of it as progress!

Don't be jealous!

My husband runs the vacuum (and does the laundry, the dishes, the yardwork, and dusts!). I really hit the jackpot! Oh yeah, and he even asked permission first because I was napping:) What a guy!

It's been a long day, BUT...

...We couldn't wait to "play" with our goodies. It only took us 56 minutes to put together the swing (which we LOVE-thanks Aunt Deb & Kelly)! It's almost midnight, so I'd say it's about bedtime.

Sammie's pooped, too. He's already found his place on daddy's side of the bed :)

Today's Forecast Calls for a Beautiful Baby Shower!

I would like to send a HUGE thank you to my mother-in-law, Alyson (Noni), and sister-in-law, Dana, who graciously hosted an amazing baby shower! Lots of planning went into this event and it could not have been more beautiful.

We are overwhelmed by EVERYONE'S generosity as we received so many necessities (and luxuries) for our little Hudson!

Daddy was there making a video so that we can always remember this special day!

Isn't she lovely? Gracie is just so precious and delicate that she can make anyone's heart melt!

Did you know that Alyson had a green thumb? I don't even think she realized it since she called me at work yesterday, during her potting, surprising pleased at the outcome of the favors and centerpieces above!

This face says it ALL! I had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends. I am looking forward to Hudson's arrival and I cannot express enough how much I appreciate all that everyone has done for us!

34 1/2 weeks and still growing...

We're nearing the homestretch w/ about 5 1/2 weeks remaining (provided that Hudson wants to wait that long to meet us!). To appease the nervous dad-to-be, I have been working on my hospital bag because he has a feeling that Hudson will be arriving early.

Isn't he so very handsome?

The Lasher Family blog would be incomplete without Sammie!

I'm such a beginner...

My friend Kristen has inspired me to start a blog so that I can share Hudson with family and friends once he arrives. I figured I better start playing now because I'm sure I'd never figure out how to do this while sleep deprived (however, I am totally looking forward to the rewards that come along with sleep deprivation).
