More food pictures

Okay, I know it seems as if all I post are pictures of Hudson eating; however, I love it! I get such a kick out of watching him try new tastes and try to figure out how to put new things in his mouth. Saltines were a big hit...

Miss us?

Sorry I've been away for so long. I'd love to say that I've been so busy living an exciting week; however, the truth of the matter is I've just been l-a-z-y! We had a fun evening in the Lasher house tonight. Usually Hudson is in bed by 7:30, but Brian is just lying him down now (it's almost 9:00). He's been pretty playful and we've been sneaking in some "exercises", too. We tried to see if he'd stand along the couch by himself...no such luck. He was clueless to what we were doing and he is still in jumperoo mode as he was bouncing all over the place. Then we moved on to practice crawling...again, no such luck. He has mastered rolling from tummy to back, so whenever he gets tired of "tummy time", over he goes. So, on to playtime!

Brian is probably the absolute greatest at making Hudson smile...

Here they are playing peek-a-boo!

It's amazing how smart Hudson is getting...he kept leaning forward to look around me to find Brian who was "hiding"

Hudson's new fascinations are the cordless telephone and the remote control.

I thought I'd lure him into doing some "tummy time" and hopefully catch him trying to crawl with the remote as bait! It worked for a short period, until he got tired and rolled onto his back as if in total exhaustion :)

Hudson said "Dada" 100 percent perfectly tonight!!! We've heard wwhhaa-dada-baaahhh lots of time, but this was plain ol' "dada" all by itself! I'm sure he has no idea what he said, but it sure made Brian's day!

Big Boy Breakfast

Hudson had a pancake for the first time this morning...and good thing because he was not satisfied with his cereal and fruit. Once he was finished with his normal breakfast he started "growling" at me because he was mad that I was no longer loading his spoon. Once we gave him the pancake made especially for him, he was intrigued and after mashing it in his little fist he figured out how to eat it. I think just as much pancake ended up in his seat as it did in his mouth!

Sweet Day

Valentine's Day was spent with "the girls" this year. Our day started off with a celebration to welcome Baby Annie who is due sometime next month. We had an intimate gathering with lots of sweet treats, and of course lots of pink and chocolate!

Baby Annie, we can't wait to meet you!

I scream, you scream

Hudson tried some ice cream!
Like a little birdie, mouth chomping while he awaits another bite!

In honor of Hudson turning 7 months old, we decided to lighten up a little and start letting him try non-baby things. Ice cream would probably not be the first choice of many; however, we just gave him a very small amount and he greatly enjoyed it. His little mouth was chomping away even when there was nothing in it and he would pull Brian's whole arm in closer to get another bite! In case you are wondering, he sampled chocolate marshmallow! Mmmmmm!

Story time

Although it is not said often enough, we do so greatly appreciate all of the help we receive from Noni. Hudson is so lucky to be able to stay in his warm, cozy home full of his very own toys all day long since Noni comes to our house each morning to care for him throughout the day. As he is constantly growing and changing, Noni is as well. She seems to know just how to entertain him and is like me when it comes to reading what to expect from him next. We definitely work well together when it comes to what is best for Hudson! It is a stress reliever knowing that Hudson is just as happy to see Noni each morning as he is to see Brian and I in the evening. So far we have not had any separation anxiety and I believe it's because he enjoys his Noni time! I just hope she has the energy for two soon! :)

The Sixburgh Steelers

Hudson was rooting for his team (for most of the first quarter) until he fell asleep. He may not appreciate it now; however, he will forever remember that the Steelers won his first SuperBowl!
Waiving (or eating) his very own Terrible Towel!

Brian getting ready for the 3D action!

This year was a very exciting game, as we were on the edges of our seats until the very last moment...well, most of us were in our seats, unlike Brian. Brian was either pacing the floor, jumping out of his seat, or squatting in front of the television. This is definitely a boy who loves his sports!
