To the Rescue!

Today we treated the boys, okay FINE!- treated Momma, to a Super Hero photo session!! Bryce adores Buzz Lightyear and is more than so stinking cute in his costume so I can't wait to see the professional pics!! Hudson made a pretty cute Superman too if I may say so myself!! Coming soon...

Silly Little Guy

Bryce is such an amazing little boy! He brings us all so much laughter. He's destined to be the class clown! Being silly comes quite naturally. He's full of little quirks too. One of B's trademarks is that he carries around and sleeps with random objects. The fascination with said objects usually lasts a day or two before he moves on to the next item. Just last night he had to carry around Hudson's pull ups and 8 individual sized boxes of cereal! He also loves his backpacks, so once it is bedtime everything makes it's way to it (only the Lightning McQueen one though, Finn McMissile usually has to remain empty!). After everything is nicely packed into the backpack it gets put in the closet until morning. As soon as Bryce wakes up he gets his goodies and brings them out to the living room! He's also always says "Brycie's cooold" (cooold is said in his best sheep voice) and covers himself and his backpack and all of his items up on the couch!! I'm pretty certain there's no one else like him out there!

Life is full of fun and games...

These two play together constantly! They find ways to amuse each other while sitting in a toy bin filled with stuffed animals in a closet...

They read the same story together!

Of course they WRESTLE!! All of the time. Some times are for fun, and other are because they are angry!

And today they wanted to be "pets". Hudson was a puppy, Bryce was a kitty, and mommy and daddy were assigned assorted roles. Looks like they're following in their cousin Grace's footsteps...Grace made a great Sparkles the dog!

These boys often leave us speechless! They are so different from one another! With that being said they often drive us crazy and they often make us laugh! Since Hudson had been wearing around a plastic bucket as Alvin's baseball cap, I decided to surprise him with a real one! He couldn't have been any more adorable with his Alvin cap and his Diamond glasses! Bryce is constantly getting in trouble for hitting and throwing things, mostly at Hudson! Hudson was getting tired of getting hit with things so he ran to me for protection. I couldn't help but laugh, and grab the camera, when Bryce came after Hudson and I with a chair over his head and a mean grin! I think I might see WWF in his future!

XOXO

Happy Love Day! To make this Valentine's Day a little more special the boys and I made heart t-shirts using their hand prints! I love how they turned out and I love even more that these tees will become such a treasure as their hands continue to grow! <>I took the day off from work so that I could make my lil' loves pink pancakes for breakfast. Hudson also had a school party that afternoon so we went to pass out glow stick Valentines to his friends. After the party, Daddy and his boys picked up O'Charley's for dinner and our evening was spent together at home!
(When getting ready for our "photo session" Hudson asked me to style his hair like a porcupine...spikey! and Bryce asked for rock star hair...spikey!)

My turn

So it begins. The stage where the boys always want what the other one has. We are constantly making them give toys back to each other, and to justify why they took it they always say "it's my turn or Brycie's turn" (B always refers to himself in third person). Yesterday Bryce wanted to watch a movie...not on our big TV but on the portable DVD player. Of course Hudson was attached at the hip and the two tried to share the small screen but not without fighting over who was going to hold the player! 10 minutes and 3 battles later they moved on to something else.

Big Bad Wolf

It's so fun to watch these two play together! Bryce, in true Brycie fashion, refused to wear clothes but wanted to wear shoes in hopes that he might get to ride in mommy's car. He chased little piggie Hudson around the living room without ever putting down his orange! I'm pretty sure Hudson encouraged this shenanigans even though he's the one running away!

This imagination...

Is AMAZING! In this picture Hudson is wearing a red baseball cap like "old" Alvin! He watched one episode of the older version and has been wearing that hat for days. Hudson has also been copying some of the bad behavior of his beloved Chipmunks and has gotten in a little trouble at school everyday (well only 3 days, but then again he only goes 3 days!) last week. One day he spilled his milk, on purpose, and then did not want to clean it up. One day he was very defiant and just didn't want to listen to Ms. Mary Ann, and one day he refused to get a book when it was time to read (instead he decided to stand on the book). Needless to say the Chipmunks will now be viewed sparingly. Fingers crossed this next week is excellent!

These days...

Bryce got out the stroller last time it snowed and supervised as Hudson and Daddy shoveled away!

Hudson loved it outside so much that he was upset when it was time to come inside!

Notice "blue one" above. This was one of the last days for ol' blue! Bryce has been binky free since January 23rd! Also notice the chocolate! B is addicted and Hudson calls then Reese kisses; therefore, we will be taking these chocoholics to Hershey this year!

We are still working at getting Hudson potty trained. He gets a sticker everytime he's successful. We're still at the stage where he goes if I put him on the potty but he has only asked to go once :(

Hudson got his first "time out" in school last week. Ms Mary Ann asks all of the kids to get a book after their snack and Hudson got toys instead. We now try to encourage him to get a book after dinner to help with his school routine.

The boys, especially Bryce, love this plastic bin. It serves as a toy chest, a chair, a table, a car etc.

The boys, especially Hudson, spend a lot of time in the corner. Hudson is expressing his ornery little boy side these days. Definitely testing the waters to see what he can get away with!

The boys love playing with "Fway-do"!

Hudson was a complete maniac and Bryce was good as gold for the Super Bowl this year. Totally the opposite of what we expected. Hudson was making noise non stop and would not settle down (mostly because he was tired). He ended up in bed before half time. Bryce kept to himself and when he got tired he played on the floor and played with a train! He went to sleep shortly after Hudson without a problem.
