Fountain of Youth

Bathtime is "oh so relaxing". Hudson almost never fusses during a bath, in fact, sometimes he may sleep during a bath and sometimes he may even RELIEVE himself! (I think the boy has something against being clean!)

The great outdoors

Today we enjoyed a family get together at Dave & Colleen's!
  • Liam should be on "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" since you never know what will come out of his mouth next...whatever it is will definitely make you laugh.
  • Lexi (AKA Pink Girl) is getting so big...all of the kids follow her around as she is their source of entertainment.
  • Gracie's phrase of choice "Do you want to play with me?" must have been said over twenty times. She loved playing with the big girls.
  • Anthony exerted all of his energy very early on as he spent most of the evening on Noni's lap. It's hard to believe that he is only 2 years old since he is almost the same size as Grace!
Activities included toad catching...

acrobatics

swinging

and a friendly game of tag!

Soon enough Hudson, too, will be joining in the fun!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Jay

Well, once Hudson starts speaking we'll find out if you're "Uncle Jay" or "Uncle Jason" :)
We all wish you a very happy birthday!

Patience

My little Hudson has NO patience when it comes to eating! The exact moment that he opens his eyes is when he wants his food. He does not want his diaper changed and he does not want to wait for his bottle to warm up; however, he has no choice but to wait. In the mean time, while he is screaming his head off, he is also grabbing and squeezing his little face. From the looks of the boo-boo on his nose, mommy took a little too long getting his nummy-nummys!
**Yes, Noni, I did trim his fingernails since Saturday :)

Before and After

We have finally updated the back doors of our home! They were in serious need of replacement. In order to let Sammie play in the backyard, we had to close the door of the garage with a brick (very ghetto, I know!). We are very excited to have molding on the inside trim of the door...heck, we're just excited to have doors that now close properly!

Getting good

It was a challenge at first, learning how to maneuver the car seat, the stroller, the diaper bag etc.; however, Hudson and I are getting good at leaving the house together. Even our music of choice has changed during our travels. As you can see by the CD case below, we have special "Traveling Melodies" to entertain us. Today we ventured to Hudson's favorite store, Babies R Us, for the toy bar pictured below. It plays music, has lights, and rattles...what more could a baby ask for?

Another August Birthday x2

Our family is full of August birthdays and today is no exception. Both Meredith and I share today as our birthday, so Happy Birthday, Meredith! Brian took the day off from work today so that we could share some family time together. After visiting friends at work then dinner at O'Charley's we had a nice time just taking it easy.

He loves his mommy!

nananunt, nananunt

Today was the big draft day in the fantasy football world. Not only did I have to get off of the computer so that Brian could make his selections, but also my brother called- not for me, but for "Lash"- that's what Mark calls Brian. I can see how the next few months are going to go :)
PS (For all of you non football fanatics) this post's title is supposed to be the sound of Sports Center

Full of Surprises

What started out as a pretty uneventful day turned into a evening of surprises. Everyone did a great job of helping plan (and keep secret) a special 30th birthday for Brian. A limo (already filled with family) arrived at 4pm to start our journey to Pittsburgh.

Our first destination was the Jerome Bettis Grille 36 for dinner and gifts!

After dinner we strolled around Station Square until it was time to head home.

All in all it was a pretty perfect evening and I am so glad that we were surrounded by our great family, making Brian's 30th Birthday one to remember!

Brian turns the BIG 3-0!

Happy 30th Birthday, Brian!
Brian was not only greeted by this embarrassing display in our front yard at 6:30 this morning, but also startled by the fireman lurking.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday Uncle Mark!
Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
(Hudson looks so comfy... all he needs is the remote control and a beer!)

Locks of Love

Kelly cut off 13 inches of her hair to donate to Locks of Love! (Her last haircut was May 25, 2007). She looks AMAZING with her new do! **This is the second time that Kelly has been so generous.

I must share my excitement

Okay- to some this may not be a big deal; however, I am so excited that Hudson slept for about 5 hours last night without waking. When he finally did wake up it was only to eat and then he went right back to sleep. I cannot believe that I am awake and blogging just to pass the time until Hudson decides to wake up again!

Free at last

Finally I've invested in a carrier so that I could turn into Super Mom and multi-task. (Noni's getting a little blog deprived so what better time to try the carrier out- so far it's working wonders as it is the reason I am able to post this.)

Fun filled day!

Today we celebrated Little Gary's 4th birthday at their new house. This year he is loving Thomas the Train, Batman, and Buzz LightYear. He definitely knows how to push Mom and Dad's buttons (and then quickly run to Aunt Deb for cover). What a silly, dramatic, precious little boy.
Happy Birthday Gary!

After the birthday party, we met Gracie, Noni, and Papa for a Fun Day parade...

Big clowns on a little bike = Grace hiding behind Noni (they actually were a little creepy)

Isn't Noni wonderful to bring Grace to her first parade?!:)

Grace is one smart cookie...she let Papa do most of the candy fetching!

How cute! Slowly but surely Grace is warming up to the idea of a new cousin to play with.

Need a laugh?

Tuesday Hudson went to the Dr's because he was not going poopy very often, so the Dr recommended dark Karo syrup in his bottle at each feeding. Well, let me tell you that the syrup works wonders.

Hudson is working on a little something...

And Daddy was on clean up duty!

I about peed my pants laughing at Hudson's face and then again at Daddy's makeshift "gas mask"!

Rated R

Sorry for the graphic nature of the pictures below; however, I think they really show how much Hudson has grown in a mere 3 weeks.

This posting actually makes me sad...I've been in such a hurry for him to grow because he was born so little; however, I am realizing that the time passes too quickly so we better enjoy the moment now!

Little Steelers Fan

Thank you Uncle Gary and Aunt Stephanie for the Steelers onesie! It's so cute and daddy is so happy that I'm starting off right! Go Steelers!

This shirt has me dreaming of how sweet it will be when the Steelers win the Super Bowl this year!
