We have a problem!

Brian discovered that water was leaking through our bedroom ceiling. He cut the drywall back to see where the water was coming from, only to find that it is running the length of the beam. The neighbor thinks that since the gutters have a foot of ice on top of them the melting snow has nowhere to go.
Brian is very sensitive to noise when he is trying to sleep so he opted to sleep on the couch bed. I, on the other hand, took Noni's suggestion of hanging a string where the drip starts so that it would run down the string and into the bucket. Great idea, Noni! No noise! I was able to sleep in bed all night. I should add that Hudson and I slept in bed all night...he woke up SCREAMING at 1 o'clock this morning, truly for no reason. As soon as I laid him next to me, and talked for a couple of minutes, he stopped screaming and instead was just watching my face and he even started to babble very softly (as to say "I'm sorry, but I got my way, haha!").
Brian gets to call the insurance company today to see how much damage we have. Hopefully tonight is better!
