Today we spent the Day Out With Thomas! The boys were so excited and so well behaved! The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway had a very nicely organized set up that made for a fun day. There were several tents with activities for all of the kids, and while there were many people there, nothing seemed overly crowded. In one tent we enjoyed a story and watched a Thomas video. In another we got temporary tattoos...well, Hudson got one. Bryce was interested but didn't want one on his body... (*For some reason, I think this will be just the opposite in the future ;) ). The final tent that we went into had lots of train tables for the kids to play with. This was where we were most proud of the boys. They played well with others, didn't whine or fight for trains, and were happy to leave when it was time to board our train. The train ride was short and sweet. The boys were both so sleepy once our ride was over, so it was time to search for dinner. We ended up at the Winking Lizard before heading home. We had a fabulous day! Definitely one for the memory books :) *Parental reminder: Always buy two balloons, no matter how much they cost...even if only one child wants one at the time of purchase! It will save headaches later!
**Funny story: When the boys share a drink, I always count..."1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Hudson's turn" and vise versa so that the boys do not try to take it from one another when it is not his turn. Today, in reference to the balloon reminder above, Bryce was carrying the balloon that he so badly wanted. Well, of course Hudson now wanted the balloon too...so Hudson said "count Mommy!" We thought this was sooo cute! He wanted me to count so that he'd get a turn...okay, you get it. Adorable, right? :)
