The Most Special 1st Birthday!

Can you believe it's been a whole year that we've been so lucky to have our little Hudson?! He is the most amazing, special little boy-just thinking of him brings a huge smile to my face. We are grateful for every moment of happiness that he has brought us and today was the perfect time to "celebrate" our Hudson!
Today's celebration was very low key. Pizza with Noni, Papa G, and Grace followed by cupcakes made by Noni. Hudson was an ol' pro this time as he picked up the entire cupcake and took a big bite!

He still didn't quite yet the opening of presents thing. He mostly crawled around until something grabbed his attention- like music and lights from the radio given to him by Aunt Dana & Uncle Cody.

The giraffe on wheels was a hit. Daddy's sure gonna get a workout because the idea is for Hudson to use his own feet to scoot along; however, he would much rather have Daddy push him.

Grace was a fort creating princess tonight. Good thing we have a sectional with lots of cushions because they were all used to create Club Grace!
I receive weekly updates from BabyCenter.com on Hudson's development. Usually they say: "Today your baby is 11 months 1 week..."; however, today's email said "Today your TODDLER is 1 year old...". TODDLER! I don't know if I'm ready for that word yet :)

Getting some sugar from my sugar! He's so lovey and gives the best kisses!

The kiddos with their Papa G and Noni. (Doesn't Noni's hair look fantastic? Really!)

Uh oh, better watch out...you never know when you're gonna get a surprise attack of some Hudson sugar! Hudson just loves Grace and I cannot wait until he is able to run around with her. I give it 6 more months and he'll be in heaven!
Today was a wonderful day! I do think that the past year has gone by very quickly and I'm sure the next several will as well. Hudson should soon be reaching new milestones as he is getting very close to walking, breaking top teeth, saying simple words, and becoming a big brother. Be sure to stay tuned for the Incredible Adventures of the Lasher Family :)
